Rules for Visitors
- All visitors to Mono, whether observing or participating, must first check in at the reception to register their presence, pay the entrance fee, and complete a Participation Agreement.
- Individuals under 16 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- Children under 5 years old who are not climbing must stay outside the climbing areas and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- The use of equipment is not allowed without proper authorization, and for individuals under 18 years old, supervision by a Mono instructor is required.
- Any intimidating or offensive language or gestures towards members, visitors, or Mono staff is prohibited – in such cases, the visitor will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in the climbing areas.
Climbing with Rope Rules
Safety Rules for Climbing with Rope
- Sign-in at Reception: Climbers must register their presence at the reception upon arrival at the facility.
- First-Time Climbers: Any climber visiting the facility for the first time must undergo a brief safety and belaying test, supervised by a Mono instructor.
- Rope Rental: Climbers can rent a rope from Mono or bring their own, provided that it is at least 45 meters long. Climbers are responsible for ensuring that their rope and all their equipment are in good condition.
- Instructors: Only Mono’s certified instructors are allowed to train and provide explanations regarding belaying.
- External Wall: The external wall (tower) is exclusively for rope climbing. Traversing or bouldering on the tower is prohibited.
- Risk: Visitors and members of Mono assume all risk during rope climbing activities.
- No Climbing on Screws or Holds: Do not hold or step on screws, screw holds, or set screws.
- Climbing Shoes: Climbing without shoes is prohibited.
- Minimum Age for Belaying: The minimum age for belaying is 16 years old, unless participating in a Mono program.
- Behavior: Mono reserves the right to revoke or suspend the right to use the facilities due to dangerous or inappropriate behavior.
- Private Property: Mono is private property. Any refusal to comply with the rules, policies, or safety standards will result in removal from the premises.
- Climbing Shoes: Climbing shoes are not allowed in restrooms or common areas.
- Belaying in Mono Programs: Belaying during Mono’s programs is exclusively done by Mono's certified instructors.
Boulder climping rules
- Do not pass the last hold of each route: Climbing should stop at the end of the route, without going beyond the last hold, for safety reasons.
- Do not lie down or sit under the boulderers: Staying under people climbing can be dangerous in case of a fall or incorrect movement.
- Keep the bouldering floor clean: Make sure the floor around the bouldering walls is clean and free of obstacles to prevent injuries.
- Children under 12 years old must be supervised by an adult while bouldering, unless participating in a program at Mono..
- Bouldering outside the bouldering area is prohibited: Bouldering should only be done in the specifically designed areas of Mono, and not in other locations or outside the facility.
- The external wall (tower) is reserved exclusively for rope climbing—no traversing or bouldering is allowed on the tower.
- Visitors and members of Mono assume all risks while bouldering: Users of the space understand and accept the responsibility for the risk of injury while climbing.
Safety - Belaying Rules
- At our facilities, the safety standards set by the global climbing federation are strictly adhered to
- Upon arrival at the facility, every climber must undergo a brief safety and belaying test under the supervision of a Mono coach.
- Climbers must tie in with a double figure-eight knot
- The belayer using a Gri Gri or similar belay device must always hold the rope according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- The belayer must stand while belaying.
- The belayer should be positioned close to the wall during belaying.
- The belayer must be at least 16 years old, unless participating in a Mono program.
- Interfering with climbing walls, such as unclipping ropes, is prohibited.
- Top rope climbing directly beneath a lead climber is prohibited.
- Lead climbing directly beneath a top rope climber is prohibited.
- Do not distract the climbers or belayers.
- Free soloing is prohibited.
- Always perform safety checks before climbing. Double-check your knots, harnesses, and equipment, as well as your belay partner's.
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, and MP3 players are not allowed during belaying or climbing.

- Avoid Distracting Belayers and Climbers: Focus and attention are key for safety. Do not distract belayers or climbers while they are actively climbing or belaying.
- Footwear in the Boulder Area: Please avoid wearing climbing shoes in the bouldering area. Opt for flip-flops or socks instead to maintain cleanliness and comfort in the space.
- Store Personal Items: Keep your personal belongings in the designated storage areas to avoid clutter and ensure a safe environment.
- No Food or Drinks: Do not consume food or drinks in the bouldering area to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
- Hygiene: For hygiene purposes, please wear a t-shirt while using the climbing and bouldering areas. This is to ensure a comfortable and sanitary experience for everyone.
